Bespoke CMS brochure website for renewable energy specialists

Føn Energy Services is an independent service provider for the renewable energy sector based in Oslo, Norway. They offer end-to-end services and engineering solutions for offshore wind and other energy sectors.

As part of our partnership with Foundation Collective, we designed and built a bespoke, sleek, usability-focused website to showcase their projects and services.

Discovery and UX design

The key to any good website project is a solid discovery phase. We worked closely with Føn's internal team through an in-person workshop and video calls to map out the website's goals and requirements.

From this, we developed a content plan, sitemap and wireframes.

Wireframes are an integral part of any web project at Neode. We use wireframes to map out key functionality and user journeys and to get client and stakeholder buy-in before moving on to visual designs.

This allows us to ensure that our designs meet our client's website goals and that accessibility and usability are considered from day one of design.

Website UI design

Other than looking great - an essential requirement for the website's design was that it stands out within the industry and shows off Føn's expert team.

We achieved this by featuring the team throughout the website via videos, contact cards and team bios.

Case studies are a very important part of the website, so we created multiple mechanisms to feature them. Case studies are prominently featured in related services. 

Content management

It's key that clients can easily manage all of the content on their websites. We opted to use Craft CMS, our favourite CMS, for this project.

By building a bespoke website in Craft CMS, Føn can easily add new articles, case studies and team members as their business expands.

With Craft CMS, editors can easily preview their edits, save drafts and have others approve their edits before publishing live.
